Join us in Walter’s Woods at 9 am Thanksgiving morning for the Second Annual Forrest Hills Turkey Trot 4k. Run or walk your breakfast off, and make room for all that delicious food later in the day.

Flamingo Friday
Join us for a Mexican food-themed Flamingo Friday & support a good cause at the same time! We are collecting school supplies to fill book bags for students who might not otherwise be as fortunate. You can't be successful without the right tools! One item qualifies you for Flamingo Friday Door Prizes! 🙂 Let us know if we need to pick items up. Items needed: pencils, copy paper, composition books, spiral notebooks, loose-leaf paper, 1.5" binders, dry erase markers, magic markers, crayons, child-safe scissors, highlight markers, erasers, pocket folders, glue sticks, liquid glue

FHNA Flamingo Fridays happen on the third Friday of every month. Neighbors take turns volunteering to host.
Walter's Woods Workday
Come to Walter's Woods Saturday morning from 9 am to 11 am, and help care for our neighborhood wildlife habitat! Tasks will include light weeding and watering our many new shrubs, perennials, and ferns. You'll also have a chance to learn about native wildflowers, invasive plants, and sustainable garden practices!

Legacy Park's Community Day
An afternoon showcase of Legacy Park's non-profit tenants and friends, including activities with L'Arche, Frank Hamilton School, Paint Love, Wylde Center, Wild Nest, Decatur Education Foundation, The Object Group Puppetry Workshop, and an Essential Theatre playwriting performance.
